Trinity College and Book of Kells

Participants will be collected by private coach and will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dublin City. The tour will provide an introduction to Dublin taking in its many sights and attractions, including O’Connell Street, the Georgian squares of Merrion Square and Fitzwilliam Square, Christchurch Cathedral, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and, Government Buildings.

The highlight of the tour will be a visit to Trinity College Dublin where you will be welcomed at the Old Library and the Book of Kells Exhibition – a “must see” on the itinerary of all visitors to Dublin. A walk through the cobbled stones of Trinity College Dublin will bring visitors back to the 18th century, when the magnificent Old Library building was constructed. Inside is housed the Book of Kells – a 9th century gospel manuscript famous throughout the world. The tour will finish at the world-famous Guinness Storehouse where you will have a chance to partake in the Guinness Experience. Dinner will be served circa 7pm after which there will be time to relax before returning to Dublin Castle and the conference hotels for 9pm

EPIC, The Irish Emigration Museum

If you have Irish ancestry and are interested in exploring your Irish roots, a visit to EPIC is not to be missed!

Participants will be collected by private coach and will first enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dublin City. EPIC is an interactive experience that tells the dramatic story of the millions of Irish people who left the island. Spend some time in the Irish Family History Centre at the end of your tour and delve into your family tree. The tour will finish at the world-famous Guinness Storehouse where you will have a chance to partake in the Guinness Experience. Dinner will be served circa 7pm after which there will be time to relax before returning to Dublin Castle and the conference hotels for 9pm

Teeling’s Distillery and Whisky Tasting

Participants will be collected by private coach and will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dublin City. Following your tour, enjoy a visit to The Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Dublin’s newest destination for whiskey fans and for anyone with an interest in Dublin’s long association with Irish Whiskey. Located in the heart of Dublin City Centre, in the historic Liberties, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery is the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years and home to the Spirit of Dublin. Come and experience first-hand the sound, smell and feel of a fully operational distillery, as the first Dublin whiskey is distilled for over 40 years. The tour will finish at the world-famous Guinness Storehouse where you will have a chance to partake in the Guinness Experience. Guinness Storehouse

All of the half day excursions will culminate in a visit to the Guinness Storehouse. The Guinness Storehouse sits in the middle of Dublin City in the legendary St. James Gate Brewery, home of Guinness since 1759. In days gone by it was a fermentation plant but today it has been transformed into Ireland’s number one international tourist attraction and a world class prestigious event destination.

With seven stories intertwining up through the center of the building, you will be greeted with a sense of past, present and future of the Guinness Industry. Take the opportunity to network alongside your colleagues and enjoy the night’s festivities by eating the delicious food on offer and raising a pint of the “Black Stuff” in honor of this iconic venue. Dinner will be served circa 7pm after which there will be time to relax before returning to Dublin Castle and the conference hotels for 9pm
